Are Audi Q5s worth it?

The Audi Q5 does not come cheap due to its status as a premium-badged large SUV, though it is competitively priced next to its rivals and tends to be worth more when sold on the secondhand market. The good news for used car buyers is that its slow depreciation means that it is actually cheaper to purchase than one might think when purchasing on finance.

Standard equipment

Equipment that comes standard in Audi Q5s is quite generous across the whole range, with plenty of kits even coming with the entry-level Sport model, which includes 18-inch alloy wheels, part-leather seats (that are heated in the front of the vehicle), powered tailgate, three-zone climate control, and cruise control.

The S line even comes with bigger 19-inch alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, privacy glass, and bumpers with an even more aggressive appearance. Top of the range is the Vorsprung model, which comes with 21-inch wheels, massaging front seats, adaptive cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, and a head-up display, though this is also the priciest of the models, even secondhand.

Safety

In a Euro NCAP safety approval test, all Audi Q5s received five out of five stars for safety. All models come with six standard airbags plus automatic emergency braking. There is also the optional City Assist Pack, which comes as standard on the Vorsprung model, which features even more preventative safety features such as blind-spot monitoring.
