By Aiden ArmstrongInvisible braces in Brooklyn, NY, are now as common as actors seeking roles in New York City. Part of that has to do with how easy and accessible invisible braces have become. It’s also because adults that never received orthodontic care as children are now choosing to fix their teeth as adults. Getting your invisible braces in Brooklyn, NY, is as easy as making an appointment with an orthodontist.
Make an Appointment and Get a Mold of Your Teeth to Start
When you make and keep an appointment with an orthodontist for invisible braces, the orthodontist will take x-rays of your teeth and create a mold of your mouth. From the x-rays and the mold, the orthodontist creates your first set of invisible braces. Additional sets of braces are made to slowly correct your bite and crooked teeth after you have worn the first set for the recommended treatment period.
Expected Treatment Period
If you want to know how long treatment with invisible braces lasts, that depends on what orthodontic issues you are trying to fix. Minor bite and straightening issues have a much shorter treatment period than major bite and straightening issues. After your initial appointment, the orthodontist will explain your treatment plan to you. He or she will tell you how long you can expect to wear your invisible braces.
Additional orthodontic equipment may be necessary if your invisible braces can’t complete the whole treatment alone. For more information and to schedule your first appointment, contact Brooklyn Orthodontics.
