By Aiden ArmstrongGlazingVision recently observed a substantial growing interest and demand for quality glass skylight products throughout America, proportionally more so in the Eastern States. As a result of this surge of interest Glazing Vision, a UK founded glass skylight manufacturer recently established a Sales office, Project Management and warehouse facility in Jersey City.
A commissioned survey report found there was nothing comparable to the Glazing Vision product range in the US skylight market! The professional Specifier and Builder market were desperate for innovation and reliability, skylights that offered high performance, longevity and leak free solutions for daylight, ventilation and access.
A substantial trend was also observed for city roof top developments, seeking daylight to the floor below with walk on skylights in the flat roofs and safe access solutions to roof gardens and terraces, offering natural light into stairwells and reception spaces. Walkable flushglaze skylight enquiries at the highest level of interest, with retractable skylight and hinged skylight interest close behind. Home owners and Developers in the States were finding Glazing Vision too and referring the products to their builders and Architects. Large skylight projects were increasingly demanding a Glazing Vision presence in New York, Boston, Philadelphia and in particular New Jersey State.
The reasons for this boom in Glazing Vision skylights is as summarised
* The Flushglaze rooflight design was offering leak free and simple solutions
* The history and reliability of the Flushglaze skylight was proven in the European construction industry
* Framework, fixings and opening devices were concealed
* Certified high security of products
* High thermal performance
* Options for all access and ventilation applications
* Stylish, state-of-the-art operating systems
* Unique retractable skylight solutions for roof terraces

With the projected interest expanding throughout the US, Glazing Vision expect to open their next office in California, a US based manufacturing facility to follow.
