Adding a machine coolant filtration system is a great example of how you can be more environmentally friendly without it costing you an arm and a leg. In fact, it can save you money, even while complying with all environmental regulations.
A machine coolant filtration system allows you to separate machine oil from your coolant in your machines. Removing the oil allows you to recycle the coolant, using it several times before you must dispose of it.
Reusing coolant multiple times before disposal saves you up to 80% on your coolant costs, which can be a big cost saving for your business.
But, it gets even better. Because you buy less coolant with a coolant filtration system, you have less coolant for disposal each year. Coolant is toxic and must be disposed of properly to prevent it leaching into groundwater. Therefore, there are many regulations surrounding its disposal. Proper disposal of coolant can be costly for you, so you save even more money when you have less to dispose of each year.
The cost associated with adding a machine coolant filtration system to your shop will quickly be easily absorbed by the savings you’ll see within the first few months of using the system.
