Does Your AC System Still Use R22 Freon?
In fact, you may need more than a home air conditioner service in Waldorf, MD if your cooling system is over ten years old. If your air conditioner still uses R22 Freon as well, you may want to look at replacing your cooling system. That is because the use of Freon is being reduced or phased out by the U.S. government. This measure is being undertaken to conserve energy.
The new refrigerant that is being introduced for home air conditioner service and maintenance is R410A. So, if your current air conditioner system uses R22, you need to update your air conditioning system to a model that uses the new R410A refrigerant.
What Are the Dimensions of Your AC Unit?
It might be easy to decide to make the upgrade, especially if your home is not as cool and comfortable as it should be. Or, if your air conditioner is not older, then the lack of cooling may be due to your AC unit’s size. Whether your AC is older or undersized, you need to make sure that you schedule a home air conditioner service inspection.
