By Aiden ArmstrongCar crashes are frightening and costly. Many times cars are in such bad shape that they cannot be driven away from the scene of the accident. Highway accidents like this can cause traffic jams lasting for hours, and can become a hazard for other drivers. In order to safely and quickly move a car from the site, you may need a heavy duty towing company.
Just any old towing company will not do when there are multiple cars involved or hazards that need to be moved rapidly and safely away from bystanders and other drivers. For instance, if a semi-truck flies over the median and causes a twenty-car pileup, a regular tow truck would not be able to move the huge diesel truck from the middle of the road due to weight restrictions.
How about an instance of a car getting stuck in the mud? Many cars on the road today do not have enough power going to the wheels to get through tough terrain such as sand or mud. These same cars often lack four-wheel drive capabilities that other, much bigger vehicles have, allowing them to get through these difficult areas. When a car or even a truck gets stuck in the mud, it is up to the tow truck driver to pull them out. It is best to call a heavy duty towing company to do this job because they would be best equipped to deal with such conditions.
One such outfit is USA Towing & Recovery. They are throughly prepared for the tougher towing jobs that require stronger rigging other towing companies just do not have. The legal limit for a semi truck or eighteen wheeler is 80,000 lbs. Compare that to the average weight for a normal vehicle of only 5,000 lbs. There are even larger vehicles being driven on the road that weight much more than that. The average weight of a flatbed truck is 26,000 lbs. They are often used to deliver supplies to construction sites and other industrial locations. Buses come in various shapes and sizes as well. These can weight over 30,000 lbs. Without heavy duty towing companies, these industries would be in big trouble. You can also connect them on Facebook.
